The Writers
I am fascinated with writers and how, why, where, and when they write. This fascination formed the basis of Project Novella: The Kingdom, which now stands as a nod to the five writers pictured below. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to emulate Hemingway, Angelou, and King — the other two clamped onto the project somewhere along the way. In the process of writing the novella, I stood like Ernest, I laid down like Truman, I shut myself away like Stephen, I wrote on yellow legal pads like Maya, and I found a (minimal) way to infuse Georges' constrained writing style. You can find out more about each writer and how they touched Project Novella by clicking on their photogaphs. Have at it, young Padawan.
Ernest Hemingway
Truman Capote
Stephen King
Maya Angelou
