Hello out there! Despite the seriousness of that quote up above and my rather austere expression in the photograph, I'm actually a rather quirky person. I like to think so anyway. Ask me about Abraham Lincoln's presidency, the band Blink-182, or what Stephen King thinks about writers' workshops, and we'll have something to chat about.

I hail — powerful word around the University of Michigan, where I've studied over the last four years — from a small town in Northern Michigan. If you climbed one of the trees in my parents' backyard, you'd receive a lovely panoramic of that most majestic body of fresh water: Lake Michigan. Believe me, I've done it.

At U of M, I've been an undecided engineer, an aspiring expert on American culture, a world traveler (Argentina, Uruguay, China, Israel, Jordan...West Virginia?), and will close out my undergraduate journey with a degree in Psychology, accompanied by two minors — one of which is the reason this website exists: the Minor in Writing.

What will you find here? My (strictly-platonic) relationships with some famous writers, the 20,000(+)-word novella I churned out over the course of two months, and, hopefully, my love of words ("vivacity" and I have been going steady for some time now).

There's lots of words and sentences and paragraphs for your eyes to pour over, so I won't hold you any longer. Go forth, and read to your little (or average-sized; we don't discriminate) heart's content.
